New Year, New Decade Bring New Beginnings for Warriors of Wrestling in Brooklyn in January

Warriors of Wrestling (WoW) Back in Brooklyn in January 2020.

On Saturday, January 18th, St. Finbar Church in Brooklyn. N.Y., will be the site of Warriors of Wrestling’s New Beginnings card.

The new year will bring new challenges, as it will be the first time both JustNeph and Ultra-Violette will defend their respective championships.

WoW World Heavyweight Championship (Fatal 4-Way) JustNeph (C) vs. Darius Carter vs. Homicide vs. TJ Marconi

JustNeph will be put to the test, as the “The Connoisseur of Counters” will have to beat three other combatants in a fatal four-way match in order to stay champion.

But JustNeph will face some stiff competition in the form of the infamous yet skilled Darius Carter, whom he defeated to lay claim to the W.O.W highly coveted strap.

On top of that, the self-proclaimed Strategist will take on current NWA Superstar, “The Notorious 187” Homicide and “Public Enemy #1” TJ Marconi in the same squared circle at the same time.

Good luck, Neph!

Ultra-Violette vs. Melina Perez

On the heels of her title-clinching match over Nikki Addams, Ultra-Violette squares off against cunning ring veteran and former two-time WWE Divas Champion and three-time WWE Women’s Champion Melina.

As skilled as she is beautiful, Melina is not to be taken lightly, one bit. But “The Sweetest Sin” is a fierce grappler in her own right, and she refuses to bow down to anyone.

Vinny Pacifico vs. Mike Harvey

This match pits two New York City natives: Staten Island’s Pacifico, a well-established ring warrior and fan favorite, going up against Harvey, a Brooklynite straight out of the Warriors Training facility who’s quickly emerging as a force to be reckoned with, bar none.

Dexter Obsidian vs. Chris Steeler

Obsidian is another new breed wrestler looking to continue his winning ways. He battled his way to triumph in a four-way match versus Mantis, Serpentico and the legendary Teddy Hart at the 12th Anniversary event in December.

However, Steeler is looking to douse the hopes of Obsidian any way he can.

The loquacious host of “The Newsroom,” Steeler is one of the most highly-decorated veterans in Warrior history. “Wrestling’s True Headline” has vanquished the dreams and careers of many promising upstarts, and I’m sure he feels this time will be no different.

Deanna Diaz vs. Nikki Addams

WoW seems to be producing more and more gifted wrestlers. One of them is Deanna Diaz, the only female competitor in last month’s second annual Frankie Getz Memorial Battle Royal, which she won.

Addams, who lost the strap to Ultra-Violette, doesn’t seem to care, as she looks to surmount her opponent in order to work her way up the women’s chain to claim championship glory once again.

Will Diaz will be her first victim, or will the young prospect deflect the former champ’s bid to the promise land?

Other matches include Tony Paige vs. Roger Mendez.

Paige will be looking to defend the honor of his late tag team partner, Getz, whom Mendez has been slamming over the past month.

In other action, the Midnight Classics (Justin Adams and Chris “The Man” Romano) will face The Haven and Prolific will lockup with Frat Boy Farva and Team Talent (Jack Gallow & Jason Carrion).

Doors open up at 7:00 p.m., with bell time is at 8:00 p.m.
