After much media and fan speculation, New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley will return to the gridiron Monday night against the New England Patriots, he told reporters after Thursday’s practice in Florham Park, New Jersey.
Mosley has been sidelined since Week 1 with a groin injury. He told reporters at the Jets’ practice, “I’m playing Monday night.”
However, Jets’ head coach Adam Gase didn’t sound as confident as Mosley did regarding his playing status, saying he wanted to wait and see how his star defender fared after Thursday’s practice. But, Gase said, “He wants to give it a shot.”
New York is 1-4 after beating the Dallas Cowboys, 24-22, last week at Metlife stadium.
