College recruiting is starting to heat up for William Lee, a former point guard at Bishop Loughlin High School in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
The six-foot Lee has received interest from schools the likes of Navy, Drexel, Virginia Military Institute and Maryland Eastern Shore, according to sources.
Additionally, Lee’s mother, Fatima Zakia Williams, said he’s going on two unofficial visits soon, to Howard University and Fairfield University in Connecticut.

But the list should swell, as Lee will be attending the inaugural NCAA College Basketball Academy (session two) — a recruiting showcase for high school players that will allow them to get looks by Division I men’s hoops coaches — at the University of Connecticut from July 25 to July 28, per Zakia Williams.
A hard-working student-athlete, Zakia Williams said: “I am proud of him. He will begin his last year in Blue Ridge School in St George, Virginia, this September.”
