As a former personal trainer and still active person, I’m always looking for ways to boost my energy levels naturally.
But when it comes to energy drinks, I shy away from them because of the artificial ingredients and tons of sugar. Plus, I don’t want to feel jittery and overstimulated.
However, I was afforded the opportunity to try the original X2 Energy formula, an all-natural energy drink made with quality ingredients.
First, the caffeine in X2 is derived from green tea, which contains antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients for better overall health, according to medical research.
Secondly, it boasts ribose, which supports Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production. ATP is your body’s natural energy molecule, and provides you with sustained energy.
Lastly, X2 contains cane sugar and glucose, natural sugars that are fast-burning energy sources, combined with pure honey, a slow-burning energy component that gives you a longer, more sustainable boost of vitality.
Therefore, there’s a readily available supply of sugar for a quick energy need, while also providing an energy reserve for the long run.
I started out by drinking a can of the low caloric mixed berry formula. At only 10 grams of carbohydrates and 40 calories, it suited my energy needs as a Type I diabetic, sans the sky-high blood sugar raising effect.
In addition, I felt a nice lift and had another X2 later in the afternoon when I took my vitamins, without any caffeine crashes.
The non-low-cal formula is only 100 calories with 24 grams of carbs, and contains 100 mg of green tea caffeine.
The X2 Sport version offers all the fine aforementioned substances, plus coconut water and electrolytes sodium and potassium for added hydration. Plus, it’s only 40 calories and comes in three delicious flavors: orange, fruit punch and grape.
For the quick energy boost, there’s the X2 Pro-Sport — a convenient, 2 oz. pre-workout shot specifically developed to fuel the most challenging workouts while enhancing your physical performance.
Furthermore, the company has obtained the coveted NSF Certified for Sport® designation for X2 Pro-Sport. Today, greater than 15 teams across the four major sports leagues use its supplement, according to its website.
While everyday athletes and gym-goers alike use X2 products, serious athletes such as the NFL’s Jarvis Landry has signed on to be a X2 Brand Ambassador, saying on X2Energy.com: “I’m whole-heartedly committed to reaching my peak performance. X2 products were already a staple in my training regimen, so I am excited to officially join the family and work with Dr. Ferrante and his team to bring X2 to the forefront.”
