Hofstra University Women’s Basketball senior guard Lauren “Boogie” Brozoski earned her first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honor of the 2018-19 season as the conference dubbed the Cambria Heights, Queens, New York, native as the Player of the Week, her second of her career, this past Monday.
Brozoski guided the Pride to a 57-50 road win over Sienna last week, in which she drained 20 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists.
In addition, the former Long Island Lutheran High School hoops star has reached double figures in scoring in all 11 contests the Lions have played this season.
The five-foot-six-inch guard is among the top-10 in the CAA in scoring with a team-best 15 points per tilt, which is good for seventh in the league. Plus, she’s also seventh in the CAA in helpers with 3.5 per game.
Brozoski played a season and a half at Michigan University before transferring to Hofstra.
The communications major led the Lady Crusaders to four New York State Federation High School Championships.
