When UCLA recruited center Moses Brown out of Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, New York, to Los Angeles, California, it knew it was getting a big man who could score, rebound, and block shots like nobody’s business.
Well, through nine games, Brown has averaged 12.4 points, grabbed a total of 88 rebounds, and rejected 23 shots, providing the Bruins with everything they’ve ever envisioned.
Brown is second in boards, third in block shots, and tied for fifth in PPG in the Pacific-12 Conference, not bad for the former McDonald’s All-American.
Moreover, Brown had given the young UCLA basketball squad with much needed hope, as its currently 7-2 and in first place in its conference.
The Bruins finished last season with an overall record of 21-12 and was 11-7 in Pac-12 Conference play.
UCLA is hoping that Brown stays beyond his freshman year to build upon what looks to be a promising run for the historic hoops program.
