The rumors regarding WWE’s signing of indie professional wrestler “Limitless” Keith Lee have been swirling for some time. The rumors can be put to bed as WWE inked Lee in early May, and he’ll begin with NXT–its development territory–shortly.
I first saw Lee at a Tier 1 Wrestling show in Brooklyn over a year ago. For a sizable guy billed at six-foot-three and 332 pounds, Lee is very agile. He moves around the ring like a cruiserweight and executes power moves– such as powerbombs, suplexes and body slams–with the greatest of ease.
To say the least, I was impressed. In fact, I listed Lee as one of the Five Indie Pro Wrestlers on the Cusp of Stardom, in an article I wrote approximately six months ago.
With a stint with Ring of Honor under his belt, among other top indie promotions, such as Evolve, All -American Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, there’s no limit for the “Limitless” wonder when hits a NXT ring.
I predict big things for the big man. It’s time to bask in Lee’s glory.
