On May 4th, third baseman Rigoberto Terrazas laced a single that drove in outfielder Quinn Brodey in the bottom of the ninth that gave the Columbia Fireflies (15-13) a 2-1 walk-off victory over Lakewood BlueClaws(Phillies, 15-13) Friday on Star Wars Night at Spirts Communication Park in a South Atlantic League (SAL) game.

Starting pitcher Jake Simon tossed five innings of one run ball but didn’t factor in the decision.

The southpaw allowed just four hits, one walk, and one unearned run. Joe Cavallaro (3-1. 1.93) fired four frames of scoreless relief to help Columbia secure the win.

First baseman Jeremy Vasquez singled in the second inning to extend his SAL-leading on-base streak to 27 contests.
