Brooklynite Phil Taitt Earns Nomination for News and Journalism Award

The relentless work is paying off for Phil Taitt, the host of the acclaimed YouTube Show, The Phil Taitt Show.  Taitt, a St. Francis (Brooklyn) College graduate, has been nominated for a News and Journalism Award at the Black Celebration Honors.

After years of tireless dedication to his craft, Taitt, 24, finds himself re-inspired in his pursuit of excellence.

“It is a great feeling to be even thought of,” Taitt said of the nomination “I think this is confirmation and affirmation to keep on going.”

As for The Phil Taitt show, the Brooklyn native feels the twist on showcasing celebrities has given him and his crew a chance at real notoriety and recognition.

“I believe the content we present is different from what a lot of other media sites are distributing” he said. “I believe that the team that works behind the show has tried to push our best foot forward, and its caught the eyes of many.”

In addition, The Phil Taitt Show is hosting a dinner on Saturday, December 16th for the Dream Reach Inspire Power Talk Series at the Commons Brooklyn, in which Ericka Pittman, Chief Marketing Officer of AquaHydrate, will be honored and speaking, as well as fashion icon Misa Hylton.

Proceeds from the Forsmiles Inc. produced event will go towards the Dream Reach Inspire Programming Fund to inspire and create programming for inner city youth.
