Move over chicken and waffles, Pies-N-Thighs offers up the best Southern Comfort dishes this side of the Mississippi, right here in the Borough of Kings.
With its location at 166 South 4th St. (@ Driggs) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Pies-N-Thighs dishes its famous, mouth-watering southern fried chicken, something that’s sure not to be missed.
Not in the mood for chicken? Well, how about a pulled pork sandwich smothered in vinegar barbeque sauce, topped with coleslaw and pickles on a traditional bun? But make sure you grab some wet naps, because the juices will surely soak right through the bread soon enough, leaving a mixture of barbeque splendor behind.
Pies-N-Thighs also serves up succulent shrimp, grateful grits, tender brisket, and a banging bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a homemade biscuit. Hallelujah!!
Do you still want more? Go ahead, add a side of Mac and Cheese and hush puppies for the gluttonous effect. Then, go for broke with one of its tasty desserts –molasses, chocolate chip, or kitchen sink cookies, or an old fashion doughnut with a cup of rich java. Oh, and of course, try one of the many pies on the menu. S’mores Pie or Banana Cream Pie, anyone? I though so.
Weekend brunch starts at 10 a.m. and goes to 4 p.m. Pie-N-Thighs is on the smallish side, and gets crowed, so make sure you have time to spare. But you’ll be thankful that you waited.
